Watering Boxhill Fruit Trees

A team of waterers led by local resident Keith Etwell and Duke of Edinburgh Award student Fletcher Jewell have been keeping the fruit trees on Boxhill Park alive all through the hot summer with weekly watering parties.

During one session a few weeks ago we came across this lovely scene, as the grand-daughter of a local resident took advantage of the beautiful wildflower meadow between the trees for a photo shoot. The flower girl then helped with the watering!

We finished watering today (31st Aug 2021) until next Spring, and Fletcher’s mum Caroline presented Keith with a bottle of wine as a thank you, while Fletcher was awarded some chocolate.
