Where we meet

Generally we hold meetings at 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month, usually at St Ethelwold’s House, 30 East St Helen Street, Abingdon OX14 5EB . We have also been holding meetings online. The meetings are open to all and take a variety of forms. Our aim is to develop our response to climate change and make the transition to a low carbon lifestyle. We have expert speakers, practical workshops, expert panel discussions, etc. dealing with relevant topics. Recent events can be seen here.

If the meeting is being held at St Eth’s, please note that you must use the side door as the front door is always closed. Come through the garden gates, then enter using the door at the side of the house. Look on the blackboard to find us – we’ll usually be in “The Hearth” room, towards the back of the house.

Parking is tight and only for speakers or people with mobility issues, so please park in the public car park in West St Helen Street, free after 6pm. Or better still, come by bike, bus or on foot! St Eth’s is a few minutes walk from the town centre, down East St Helen Street behind the County Hall. Buses stop in the High Street just round the corner, and bicycles can be parked in the garden.
