The coronavirus may have stopped us going on holiday, going to work or seeing our loved ones, but gardening was a permitted activity as long as you did it alone or more than 2 metres from anyone else. So, miraculously, the Edible Abingdon beds have been sorted out, tidied up and just last week, replanted with all sorts of veg, herbs and flowers. Take a look when you pass Old Station House, or wander through Abbey Gardens, or stop by the kiosk on Abbey Meadow to watch the geese and imagine the sound of swimmers in the deserted Open-air pool!
