Apple pressing at the Community Free Space!

24 September 2016 by Sally

From Monday 26th September to Friday 7th October, from 11am till 2pm every day except Sunday, our apple crusher, press and pasteuriser will be set up in the Community Free Space in Bury Street, ready to turn your windfall apples into delicious apple juice!

All you need to do is bring your apples and some clean bottles (glass screwtop wine bottles if you want to pasteurise the juice) after 11am and you can help juice them, and take away the fresh juice, or leave them overnight to be pasteurised. We reckon 2 Kg of apples will make 1 litre of juice.

The Community Free Space in 2015If you have lots of apples and are happy to juice them yourself, you can have the sole use of the kit at the shop any afternoon. Just pop into the shop to book your afternoon, or email us on carbon.cutters@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you in the shop very soon! Remember, we are only there for 2 weeks!
