We’re getting ready for the 2024 repair calendar in Abingdon! There are so many benefits to repairing items instead of disposing and buying something new – including saving money, helping protect the environment, making sure we keep repair skills going, and making sure you can keep using much-loved items.
See what we’ve got planned for 2024 below:
Repair Cafe – for items such as electronic gadgets, toys and furniture, as well as knife and tool sharpening
5-7pm on third Thursday every other month at Oxford Wood Recycling – starting 18th January
10:30am-1pm on third Saturday every other month at Roysse Room, Guildhall, Abingdon – starting 17th February
Sewing repairs – for simple mending jobs, patching, zips, turning up hems
10:30am-1pm every first Saturday of the month in the Kempster Room, underneath the Abingdon County Hall Museum
Bike checks – for a check-over, tyre repairs, and more
10:30am-1pm every third Saturday of the month, under the arches of the Abingdon County Hall Museum
