Last Saturday 21st January, the monthly Repair Cafe found a new home in the Roysse Room, Abbey Cinema.
The Mayor of Abingdon popped in for a photoshoot, and some of the Cinema staff dressed up as Lion King characters. The venue has plenty of room for repairers and customers to mingle and help each with repairs.
In total, we saw 20 items sharpened and 27 repairs, approximately half fixed ‘on the spot’ and half needing a bit more attention.
The next Repair Cafe is on Saturday 18th February in the same place: Roysse Room, Guildhall (Abbey Cinema), Abbey Close (off Bridge Street) – from 10:30am – 1:00pm.
