One of the sunniest days in June brought the crowds out to look at our stall which had a fabulous display of bee-friendly flowers (thanks to Lucille and Merton Gardens) and flowering plants (thanks to Nicky and Abingdon Garden Plants on Lodge Hill). We even had a visit from a real bee!

Visitors could also learn how to make a safe garden pond from an old dustbin lid and a suitable stone, and could taste local bread (from OX14 deli in the High St) and local honey, as well as home-made elderflower cordial. Many went home with 5 recipes using carrots, and an elderflower cordial recipe, while many more signed up for more info about Abingdon Hydro.
