Helpers turned out despite the rain to promote our Christmas message: Give the planet a Christmas present! How? By trying not to get caught up in the buying frenzy – repairing, resisting, reducing, refusing, re-using, – and when it’s all over, recycling!
The logo of Plastic-free Abingdon, now a branch of Surfers Against Sewage, was proudly displayed. There were reindeer made of logs, corks and twigs, decorations cut from orange peel – and lots of warm mulled apple juice for all to taste!
