Energy

The group is actively promoting the following actions

  • Thermal imaging to reveal heat losses*
  • Energy efficiency; Insulation; Education
  • Renewable energy; Independent advice

The bottom line is that we all need to use less “fossil fuel” – petrol, coal, oil, and gas – fast. With political will, we could change our economy to a carbon-neutral one within a generation, and be healthier and wealthier as a result! Join the campaign at Fossil-free Oxfordshire . Read how many countries are already half-way there in Prof Keith Barnham’s fascinating new book The Burning Answer .

Generating more renewable energy is good, but saving it is better. Buildings take a lot of energy, and savings are possible by better insulation. Paul Buckingham, one of our members, has  had an article published on the AECB website about current building standards and energy efficiency. Read it here.
