What we do

We hold an open meeting at 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month, usually at St Ethelwold’s House, 30 East St Helen Street, OX14 5EB. These meetings are open to all and take a variety of forms. Our aim is to develop our response to climate change and make the transition to a low carbon lifestyle. We have expert speakers, practical workshops, expert panel discussions, etc. dealing with relevant topics. Recent events can be seen here.

We are a Community Action Group, and take part in events and campaigns promoted within the Oxfordshire CAG network.

Alongside these activities we have several working groups which focus on:

We also are committed to address the transport issues involved in achieving a lower carbon lifestyle. We support Abingdon Freewheelers cycling group and its activities. Promoting community car schemes and e-car clubs are also part of our ongoing concerns.
