Species extinction is a fact which may seem remote but is coming ever closer to home. Our March meeting will feature an illustrated talk by one of our members, John Killick, co-author of a book “Oxfordshire’s Threatened Plants” which came out last year. We will learn how many plant species are being lost every year, and how many are on the endangered list.

John will be joined by David Guyoncourt of Abingdon Naturalists, who will give us a rundown on how climate change is affecting insects and birds in the UK.

As always there will be plenty of time to quiz our experts as we enjoy home-made cake and coffee or tea. If you have anywhere to put up a poster, download one here:  Oxfordshire’s Threatened Wildlife 20.3.2019 poster
